Christmas time is here!

Wade and I got a real tree this year. We feel like grown ups =) We decorated it for FHE list night and think it looks pretty cute. All the presents under the tree are not for us. We put my siblings presents (from Mom and Dad) under our tree for safe keeping till we give them to them. YAY for Christmas and the smell of pine.

Halloween fun

Halloween was really fun this year thanks to two of our dear friends and their parties. Friday Oct 30th we went to a murder mystery dinner in Logan at Bryce and Tessa's house. It was pirate themed and so much fun. Wade and I had to borrow some of Bryce and Tessa's clothes b/c we forgot key parts of our costumes at home (i.e. wades shirt and pants and a shirt for me..) Wade as a pirate and I was a gypsy posing as a wench. It was alot of fun. Thanks Bryce and Tessa!

Oct 31st we went to Pat and Anna Lisa's house and had a wonderful time playing games and eating great treats. It was such a fun year. Thank you Pat and Anna

Ward party for Halloween

We made witch hats! Wade made the green ones and I made the orange ones. Both good =) Also not that these are not so much the best pictures of Wade and I. We both look a little crazy.

YUM!

Warning: this desert is not for the faint in heart (seriously it may kill you) BUT it is sooooo tasty.

This is a Chocolate Carmel Trifle. Last night we went to Brad and Jenny's and were in charge of bringing the desert. Wade and I had a similar dish at our friend Cameron and Erin's place and loved it. So thank you Cam and Erin for the idea. Here is our version.. YUM!

1 box devils food cake (made to pkg directions) cooled and cut into 1 in. squares
4oz cream cheese (whip the 4 oz with 8 oz of cool whip)
1 16 oz cool whip (halved)
1 jar Mrs. Richardson's Butterscotch Carmel.
1 large Pkg chocolate pudding (make to pkg directions or use 1/2 cup less milk)
candy of choice- we used Nestle Carmel treasures
a bit of Hershey's syrup

layer 1 cake maybe 4 in x 9in of the cake (1/4 of the 9x13 cake)
drizzle Hershey's syrup
spread half the mixture of cool whip and cream cheese on top of the cake
Drizzle with 1/4 of a jar of carmel
spread half of the chocolate pudding
10 chopped treasures sprinkled on top of the pudding

layer all layers again except the treasures

After the second layer of pudding take 4 oz of cool whip (or whatever looks pretty) and spread then drizzle with carmel and sprinkle with remaining treasures... mmmmmm so good.

Wade is Safe

http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=7971628

I am so greatful for our Father in Heaven and the love for us. Wade and his scout troop (3 leaders and 2 boys) went out tonight for a camp out and were struck by lightning. Everyone is okay and alive. One of the boys is a staying overnight in the hospital because of the burn marks on his feet. The other boy was just released a little while ago and is feeling much better. Wade and the otehr leaders all were able to stay with the boys and administer first aid till the search and rescue were able to arrive. I am so greatful that Wade is still here with me. That it was His will to let him stay here with me a while longer. I will have more to come later.

Yes that's right My Birthday! How old am I?

Thank you for the Cake Ash!
Wade and I did not intend on making the whole week my birthday but it just so happened that we pretty much did something everyday for my birthday. This week we went out with Leo and Mary to dinner at Willies place( really great Venezuelan/Columbian food ) Wednesday Jenny Ash and I went to the temple. Thursday we went to Bonsai with a Rachel and Mike, Pat and Annalisa, and Brad and Jenny then followed up that with a nice game of acquire. Friday we went to the parade of homes (Thank you Dan for the tickets) Dinner with Dan and Ashley and their kiddos and her parents. Wade bought me a new camera so I played with that on Saturday and I visited with Ronelle and Steven and their family in No. Ogden. Ronelle's Birthday is today so we wanted to see each other to celebrate. I rounded out the day with a lovely party hosted by my dear friend Ashley.

She make me a wonderful cake....I look hungry in this picture. The cake was awesome!
And then she hosted this fun "Slumber party" (Non traditional)
Thank you to all who came (Savina, Jenny, Rachel, Ashley, RaNell, Erika,Kristen and to of Ashleys friends) We had a wonderful time although we spent the better part of the night going like this....

Sunday (My actual birthday) Wade and I went to the Ocher Mountain Temple dedication and then went for a beautiful drive up the canyon. Then had Rachel and Mike over for cake and homemade pizza. It was a wonderful week. Thank you to everyone who have been so sweet.
