Here is a picture I took of Wade's deformed shoulder. I will let him explain to you all what happened.
By the time Halloween came around I assumed that I the mountain biking season had come to an end. however, at the Halloween party (as you see posted earlier) Pat Rich invited me to come with him mountain biking. I had nothing to do really the next day so I accepted. In the morning I got up and started working on my bike to get it ready for the ride. I cleaned all the dirt and grease and what-not. I got it all ready to go and then Pat said that I could ride his Santa Cruz Blur. I failed to mention that my bicycle is a Jamis Durango hardtail, the Blur is one of the top XC full-suspension bikes. He knew of my desires to upgrade to a full-suspension bike so I couldn't turn down the offer.
Well I get on the trail and the bike is sweet so much more different than my bike. The ride was much more smooth and going over the rocky terrain and tree roots was much easier than my Jamis. We get to the top of the trail and Pat said that the bike was more stable at higher speeds because of the suspension. So bombing down at first was nice and I felt good about how it handled, much smoother than my bike.
Well ahead is this ramp that goes over this huge pipe. You have to make a quick 90 degree turn on a dime and you don't have much space to get the momentum to go over it. We actually saw a woman endo while crossing it on the way up and I biffed it there myself a couple time previously. Well I was approaching ramp and I was thinking to myself that I should slow down. So I pressed on my brakes and next thing I know I feel the momentum of my body differ from that of the bike. Then in a millisecond my body had flipped 180 degrees with my back 1 foot above the ground and the bike still attached to my feet above me. I slammed to the ground. I get up like nothing happened and Pat's friend was right behind me and saw the whole thing. We looked at the bike and my body took all the impact, there was not a scratch on the bike. I looked around to see what had happened. I assumed I hit a rock but then I realized that the Blur has hydraulic disc brakes which are much more sensitive than my mechanical disc brakes(that I never adjust). I have to pull back more on my bikes front brake to get it to grip. So naturally I pulled back like my bike thinking than it would grip the disc ever so slightly. It didn't it and made the wheel completely stop causing me to endo.
So thinking that my shoulder was just bruised I get back on and ride down. I was impressed with how smooth the full-suspension was. I was feeling good then I try to go off a bump and when I landed the impact pains shot from my shoulder so I was thinking it was a bit more than a bruise. When I got to the bottom I was hurting more and more. Bad thing was I took the pickup and I had a hard time shifting. I had to drive home in 4th gear because I couldn't get it into overdrive.
I was gonna tough it out because of my high-deductible health insurance but I knew something was wrong. It hurt more and more and I thought it was broken. So we went to the hospital to get it checked out. Turn out nothing was broken, it was a torn AC joint (you can Google that, I'm not going to explain it). I was in a sling a couple weeks. I feel good now but it aches at the end of the day all the time and I will have a deformation on my shoulder the rest of my life. As you can see both of my shoulders are screwed up somehow. Don't worry folks, I will be fine just in time for skiing.

Okay so it has been a while... I have two stories for you.
1. The Garden: I neglected to talk about this situation to many people because I was embarrassed but now I think I am ready to talk about it. So in late July early August a friends from the ward asked me to look after her garden (location-public garden ie many gardens around) Her husband was suppose to be watering the garden while she and her kids were away we just had to help harvest. She said she had lots of veggies, peppers, squash and tomatoes..it sounded like a great deal to us. So Wade and I diligently go every other day to this garden and pick squash and corn however we did not see half the stuff she said was there. Every day we notice how dry everything was. We water the plants and think to ourselves "her husband must be neglecting the garden" So a week or so goes by and we see the Cabbage is just bursting so we decided to pick one of the biggest ones. We hear in the background this guy say "hey, so and so someone is in your garden" so we have our prize cabbage and other various squash and cucumbers and we are stopped by this large old woman. She asks" where did you get that cabbage?"we explained that we had been watching our friends garden and we got it from there. She asked us to show her so we did. She points out that the garden we had been tending to was shared. We had been watering and picking fro her garden as well. He got flustered and so we said "would you like your cabbage back?" She said "yes I was going to make sourcrout" So we left the garden and only picked from the one side. Once my friend came back I told her about the cabbage incident and she seemed fine with it. Later I am on blog stalking and I come across her blog. One of her blog entries was about her garden where she had a picture of her garden before her trip and after. This was not the same garden… I called her and she told me where her garden was… I felt soooo stupid! I had been in the wrong garden all the time.
Story number 2….. so Wade and I bought my Toyota Camry right after he graduated may 2007… it was MY prize and I loved my new car! So we are at my sisters house in October 2007 and this lady backs into our parked car….. my the golden ticket has to get a new bumper. March 2008 I am driving in the Costco parking lot and I have an encounter with a another car….. New drivers side and bumper. Then we are driving home a few weeks ago from Logan at 1:00am and there is a huge cooler in the middle of the lane on I-15…. New bumper. I swear this car is a lemon!!!! Grrrrr.. 3 bumpers in less then a year…

Camping August 15th-17th
Above-Wade fishing away
Below- Our beautiful view
Mike on his self made raft
day 2 camping. Yeah not my finest moment- give me a break I was really sick
My cute sister
For the first time ever I went on a true backpacking trip! Rachel and Mike (my sister and her hubby) and Wade and I went up into the Uninta's and backpacked. We hiked to a really pretty lake spot and spent 2 nights camping. I was sick the entire time! I have been sick for the last 2 weeks. For the family reunion I had strep throat then it morphed into a nasty sinus infection/cold. It was miserable.. I have gone through 4 boxes of Puffs. We arrived Friday night and set up camp. We had noodles and s'mores for dinner and hit the sack. Saturday morning the boys made a great "sunrise breakfast" with potato flakes, bacon, powdered cheese and butter and some other spices... it was really good. The boys Fished all day while Rachel and I pumped water, read Harry potter and napped. Rachel and I began to pump the water and with every pump it would take in about 1/8 of a cup and only yield 3 drops. We pumped for a good 3 hours and only yielded about 2 liters of water. The boys were a little disappointed with how much water we pumped b/c they thought it was going to be a lot more. Later that day the boys went to go pump some more and they noticed it was only trickling water. They realized that the filter was full and that it needed to be cleaned. So yeah we would have had at least 4 times as much water if we would have known to clean the filter. Mike felt really bad for being disappointed in us. It was funny. Friday night we had a "backpackers feast" dinner it was kind of like a thanksgiving dinner that you just add water to. We left Sunday morning. As we arrived at the car we noticed a little yellow paper on our windshield. Apparently we had parked in a no parking zone for 2 days. 125 dollars and a few fine words from Wade later we were off back to SLC. Over all it was a great trip. Wade is still working on what he is going to write in a letter to send along with our $125 check.=)
Wades Birthday July 25th
This year Wade and I celebrated his birthday with a movie and dinner. We went to see the The Dark Night-awesome then Wade requested for me to make him a special birthday dinner.
We started out with an oil and balsamic dipping sauce for bread then a colorful green salad.
For the main dish I made him a take on the Cordonbleu pasta at Firehouse in Logan.
I took 3 kinds of cheese, fontina, asiago and piave, heavy cream and butter to make an alfredo sauce. I took large riggitoni pasta, grilled chicken, bacon and covered it in the alfredo sauce. Then I baked it and served it in hallowed out french bread. We topped it off with ice cream cake.
Wade LOVES ice cream cakes from Basin Robbins
I just always like it to look like a little boys cake
Last year was space themed this year it was Iron Man
family reunion
The family reunion 2008 was a blast!!!!
Of course I say that because I put it together but... hehe. I love getting together with Family! Everyone arrived between August 6th and 7th. Thursday everyone got together for breakfast. Then we were off to the park to play for a bit before going to the Hoogle Zoo. Thursday night we had a group birthday party for all out July-September birthdays ( Wade, Gentry,Rob, Maleia, Jon, Melissa, rob and mel's anniversary Me, Grandma's anniversary, Dave, Janee and Adrianne) Yep there was a lot to celebrate. Friday we had family pictures then the girls had a craft and the boys went swimming with the kiddos. Friday night we had a big Robert and Tess (my Dads side of the family) BBQ and got to visit with cousins we had not seen in a while. Saturday half the kids went to Firth Idaho to Gentry's baptism and half went to the Olympic park in Park City Utah. Mom.Dad and Grandma left on Sunday. It went really fast but was wonderful!

Home Makeover our Style
So For a long time my family (kids all 7 of us) wanted to makeover my Mom and Dads house. We knew they would never do it on their own. My parents are sweet, kind, hardworking and honest people. They provide service to so many people and have thought all of us kids to do the same. This last June 19th 20th and 21st we decided to start the makeover. All of us kids contributed in someway. Grandma and Aunt Nancy and Jenny brought food everyday for us. We are so grateful for the Help they gave. Thank you everyone who helped make this dream come true! Here are the pictures let me know what you think.
What we did: Tore out the old linoleum, dish washer, range, microwave, vent, light panels and fixtures and laid tile (Rob and Mike-great job guys) painted new range over the range microwave, dish washer base bored and light fixtures.

The DR 2
This bathroom made me really sad. It was really hard for me to digest that people really have to live in conditions so much more poor then I had experienced.
