Fathers day -late

Happy Late Fathers day to all!
I wanted to take a minute and talk about how grateful I am to have a loving father here on earth. I think a am the luckiest gal in the world. My Dad is the sweetest, most loving, caring man I know. Growing up he taught us to always think of others and provide service to those in need. I fondly remember making rounds with him at the hospital and singing to all his patients. On Sundays dad would take me with him to visit people in rest homes and he would have me put little shows on for them. I think the two things that stick out most for me are he loves my Mom and he loves the Lord. I am so grateful for his example in my life.
This is one of my favorite pictures of my dad. This is him and the boys. I love his smile.

I love you daddy!

Here are some pictures of a father and son from a recent photo shoot. If you want to see more pictures of this shoot head on over to my photo blog.

Cabin time!

So last week we went to a cabin with Ronelle, Steven, Dexter, Heather Micah, M and T. We had so much fun! This cabin was kinda in the middle of no where1 hour south of Bryce canyon. Wade and I went down on Friday night and came back Saturday evening late. We played LOTs of wizard and Acquire and had a nice BBQ. The cabin we stayed in was awesome! It was nicely furnished with 3 levels and 5 bedrooms. I have to point out the picture of Wade and Steven reading magazines.. It was so cute I walked down stairs and there they were reading "cosmo" and "people" magazine. It made me laugh.
Here is Ronelle and Dexter. His look is priceless.
Here is T all wrapped up and ready to go on a walk.

Blessed

Remember those days when you feel like everything in your life is as is should be and going in the right direction. I had one of those days on Saturday. Our really good friends were able to be sealed to their sweet little boy. It was amazing to feel how special this family is and how our Father in Heaven knows us and loves us. This day gave me hope that one day Wade and I too can be parents and can be joined for all eternity to our children. I love knowing that God has a plan for me. I am grateful to our friends for letting us be part of thier special day. Hop on over to my photo blog to see more from this awesome day.
Oh yeah and look what I found at the temple? Some of my two favorite things.. temples and kitties... Could this day be any better?

Memorial day

I am so grateful for those people that keep our nation safe and those that have fought or trained to protect this great nation. Thank you!

Wade and I kept this holiday weekend pretty relaxed. We hosted a small BBQ and went to one with some friends where we took these pictures. We had a blast with wonderful friends.

Our trip to So Cal

We had such a great time down in So Cal! We were really busy.. but got to do a bunch of fun stuff.
Our trip started late Tuesday. We drove to Vegas and stayed at the Orleans. We had booked our hotel on Hotels.com our room was $35 including tax.. lets be honest we were not expecting much. When we got there (2:00 am) We were told they had over booked and we were getting upgraded to a luxury suite at no charge to us. This is what we walked into....(sorry the pictures are so dark)

It was awesome I literally jumped up and down and giggled.we were on the 24th (top floor) with an incredible view of the strip.

We lleft vegas and went to Ridgecrest Ca to see the rocket motor fire. That night we went to BBQ with a bunch of the locals from the plant down there. It was great fun getting to know everyone.

Day 3 we went to the Motor fire... pictures to come in 6 weeks (they have to be cleared through security first) Then we were off to LA. where we checked into our best western near the LA temple. That night we went to this really cute little restaurant named Anna's down the street.

Day 4 we went to Eric and Eric'a wedding. It was pretty much a perfect day. Click here for more pictures from that day. That night we went up to Thousand Oaks Ca for the reception. It was held at Eric's home in the back yard. It was so funny b/c everyone kept running into the screens. this little boy ran so hard into it that he fell down and then he ran into it again later. This older woman ran into it with her cupcake in hand and got frosting all over the screen. Just thinking about it now makes me laugh. for and then down to San Diego (Del Mar) area to the Best Western Stratford Inn where we finished off our trip.
Day 5 we went to Torrey Pines (a beautiful state park) and went hiking. There was this woman who was exercising on the beach, but not really effectively. She had socks on and hicking boot and just kept doing this strange leg move over and over again. A big wave came up and she totally got dowsed with water. It was awesome.
You can see her on the rock in this picture.

Later that day we went and sat in the hot tub and then went to dinner with one of my students at this yummy Mexican restaurant in Old town San Diego.

Day 6 we said goodbye to sunny California and came home. On our way home we stopped in Filmore Utahat the local Subway for dinner and thenheaded on our way. About an hour later (9:00 pm) I went to get something from my purse and reolized I had left it in Filmore. I called down there and they said they had it so we turned around and went back. There was a huge rain storm and we could hardly see anything on our way back to Filmore to get my purse. We got there and nothing was missing thankfully and we turned around and headed home. On our wy home we hit a snow storm (yes a snow storm in MAY!) but we made it back safely.

Now we are home and happy to be so. Happy memorial day to all!
